On September 18, 2026, Eastern Iowa FCA Outdoors welcomed family, friends, and ministry partners to a special Prayer and Worship Night at Palisades-Kepler State Park. Led by FCA Outdoors Field Ambassador Maree Bean, the gathering brought together approximately 20 people on the park’s beach for an evening centered on faith, fellowship, and the outdoors. As the sun began to set along the Cedar River, attendees joined in worship, prayer, and meaningful conversations about God’s presence in creation. Maree shared from Genesis 1 and 2, encouraging participants to reflect on God’s handiwork and His purpose for creation. The peaceful outdoor setting provided a unique opportunity for individuals to connect with one another while growing in their faith and appreciating the beauty of the natural world. Throughout the evening, Maree shared the vision and mission of the Eastern Iowa FCA Outdoors ministry, highlighting its commitment to reaching outdoor enthusiasts through Bible studies, authentic relationships, and Christ-centered experiences. Participants learned about opportunities to get involved in future FCA Outdoors events, including Hike and Huddles, Equestrian Huddles, and Archery Huddles, all designed to connect faith with outdoor recreation. The Prayer and Worship Night served as an encouraging reminder of the power of gathering together in God’s creation. Eastern Iowa FCA is grateful for those who attended and looks forward to future FCA Outdoors events that will continue to engage the community, equip people in their faith, and empower them to encounter Christ in the outdoors.

Every Athlete. Every Ability. A Place to Belong. What an incredible day at FCA Eastern Iowa’s All-Ability Sports Camp! A couple of weekends ago, athletes across Eastern Iowa came together for a day filled with sports, new friendships, teamwork, and the love of Jesus. From pickleball and baseball to basketball and more, campers had the opportunity to try new things, build confidence, and cheer one another on. Throughout the day, athletes explored the message of FCA’s The Four: God Loves Us. Sin Separates Us. Jesus Saves Us. Will You Follow Him? Caregivers also had a dedicated program where they could connect with one another, share experiences, and spend time in Scripture. It was a meaningful opportunity for athletes and caregivers alike to find community, encouragement, and hope in Jesus. Thanks to Camp Courageous for partnering with FCA Eastern Iowa to make this special day possible, and to the volunteers, caregivers, and everyone who helped make camp such a memorable experience! Every athlete deserves the opportunity to experience the life-changing love of Jesus. Your support helps FCA All Ability create inclusive sports experiences where athletes and families can build relationships, grow in faith, and find a community where they belong. Thank you for being part of the FCA Eastern Iowa community and helping make these opportunities possible!
