Welcome Zach Mulvihill to the FCA Team!
Dear Eastern Iowa FCA Family,
I’m Zach Mulvihill and I am so excited to join the FCA family here in Eastern Iowa! I am a committed follower of Jesus, a husband, and a father. I also grew up in Iowa and proudly call Cedar Rapids/Marion my hometown. Even though it was not my plan to be living back home and serving with FCA, I am thrilled to see the ways that God is going to move through FCA here in our own backyard!
The two things that drew me to serve with FCA here in Eastern Iowa were God’s will and timing, and the call to make disciples who make disciples. After moving back home for the health of our oldest child, my wife and I were praying about how I could get back to being involved in full-time ministry. My prayer to God was that I wanted to spend my best hours making disciples who make disciples, and God answered that prayer through FCA! After connecting with the FCA leaders here, a door opened for me to come on staff as an Area Representative for Linn County.
The thing that gets me most excited about my area of ministry is the opportunity to see coaches’ and athletes’ lives radically changed by the power of the gospel. When the gospel really clicks for the first time in the heart and mind of a person, their life starts to change; but our work does not end there! We get the amazing opportunity to equip them as followers, and then as leaders, and then as multipliers--in other words, as disciples who make disciples. It’s the opportunity to be a part of this work that I am so excited about!

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
