More Than a Week of Cam

Dear Eastern Iowa FCA Family,


For many student-athletes, FCA Sports Camp begins as a week of competition, fun, and new friendships.


For Isaac Attig, it became something far more.


When Isaac attended his first FCA Sports Camp in 2022, he expected to spend the week playing sports and meeting new people. But sitting in a baseball dugout listening to a message about repentance, he realized something deeper was happening.

The picture of God he had grown up with suddenly felt too small. Through the teaching and conversations at camp, Isaac began to understand the depth of God’s grace and the reality of what Jesus had done for him.


He returned the next year as a camper, continuing to grow in his faith and understanding of the Gospel.


Then his Huddle Leader asked him a question that surprised him. Would he consider becoming a Huddle Leader himself?


For someone who described himself as naturally introverted, the thought of leading and discipling other students felt overwhelming. But Isaac sensed God prompting him to take the step.


In 2024, he returned to camp—not as a camper, but as a Huddle Leader responsible for guiding a group of student-athletes.


Looking back, Isaac says one of the greatest lessons he learned was this:


“I realized that I have no power to save or grow those around me. All I can do is scatter the seed of the gospel and trust God to do the work.”


That realization changed everything. Through FCA, Isaac has grown into a bold leader who now desires to pour into other student-athletes the same way others once poured into him.


Stories like Isaac’s are the heartbeat of FCA Sports Camp. It’s a week intentionally designed to help student-athletes grow in their faith, sharpen their skills, and build Christ-centered friendships.


This summer we are excited to offer two FCA Sports Camp opportunities for high school athletes.

Tri-State FCA Sports Camp (First Year)

June 22–26, 2026

University of Dubuque – Dubuque, Iowa
