A New Season of Serving Through FCA

Dear Eastern Iowa FCA Family,


What excites me the most about joining FCA is the people: coaches, athletes, volunteers, donors, and fellow staff. Their genuine love of the Gospel is what first caught my attention, and I am thankful for the opportunity to become part of a team that is committed to sharing the love of Jesus through sports. 


My wife, Heidi, and I are both beginning this new season with FCA, and it's especially meaningful that our first day together coincided with our wedding anniversary. We are also grateful to be the parents of two amazing children, James (20) and Cindy (18). 


Over the years, God has given me opportunities to serve in sports, ministry and other leadership roles. Those experiences have strengthened my desire to encourage others, build relationships, and help people grow in their faith. I'm excited to use those experiences as I serve all those who make FCA's mission possible. 


I believe youth sports have the power to shape far more than athletic ability they help shape character, identity, and purpose. By sharing the hope and truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we can help create a culture where coaches and athletes are encouraged to compete with integrity, lead with humility, and grow in their faith. As lives are transformed by Christ, the impact extends beyond the game, influencing families, schools, and communities. 


I'm excited for the opportunity to serve with the FCA family and to be part of what God is doing as we make disciples through coaches and athletes.

  • That student-athletes would continue to boldly live out their faith in everyday moments and reflect Christ through their actions.
  • That teams would experience greater unity through Christ-centered leadership and relationships.
  • That more students would be open to simple invitations and conversations that lead them to encounter the Gospel.
  • That God would continue to raise up leaders who will take the next step of faith to start and grow FCA huddles in their schools.
