Welcome Heidi Eckhardt to the FCA Team!

Dear Eastern Iowa FCA Family,

When I think about what drew me to FCA, I keep coming back to the people. The coaches, athletes, volunteers, donors, and staff who make this ministry what it is. I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the FCA family as the new Donor and Volunteer Care Admin and serve alongside those who have answered God’s call to make an impact through sports.

I am a wife to my husband, Matthew, who is also beginning full time with FCA. It was a special blessing to start this journey together on our wedding anniversary. Together, we have two children, James (20) and Cindy (18).

Before joining FCA, I had the privilege of serving students as a secretary at both an elementary and high school. Working alongside students, families, teachers, and staff strengthened my passion for serving others and investing in the next generation. I look forward to bringing those experiences to FCA as I support our donors, volunteers, staff, and ministry partners.

One of the things I am most excited about is getting to know the incredible people who make FCA possible, whether they are staff members, volunteers, prayer partners, donors, coaches, or athletes. Every person plays an important role in advancing God’s Kingdom, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and encourage.

Sports have been a meaningful part of my life through competing, coaching, and cheering on my children. I have seen firsthand the impact coaches and athletics can have on people’s lives, which is why I am honored to be part of a ministry that uses sports to share the love of Jesus Christ.

I look forward to serving alongside the FCA family and working together to make disciples through coaches and athletes.
