This School Year Impact at FCA!

Dear Friends and Family,

It has been an incredibly fruitful school year and we got to see God work in many ways. More details to follow so please know how grateful I am for your support through prayers, giving and volunteering to help make this year a success.

God has worked in many ways throughout this year and here is in update as to what we've seen.

There has been much growth in my footprint (Center Point-Urbana, CR Jefferson, CR Kennedy, CR Wash, Linn-Mar, Marion) not only outwardly but inward and deeper. We don't always quantify success by the amount of Coaches and Athletes reached but HOW or WHY they are reached. Many times this is accomplished by answering a call. We constantly pray for opportunities for God to show us where to answer a call to serve him and to serve and reach those Coaches and Athletes. This school year there was much of that - answering the call. God opened many doors and we stepped through as many as possible. God provided the HOW and WHY and we answered the CALL by stepping through doors into new and deeper ministry opportunities.

Center Point-Urbana Many things happened this year and much ministry took place. There were 9 senior leaders this year so some new leadership will need to step up soon. We saw lots of deep growth in this huddle and are hoping to expand more next year with a middle school huddle and connect with more Coaches.

CR Jefferson Ministry has continued throughout the year even after the football huddle concluded. We continued with a multi-sport huddle and are going into the summer with a softball huddle. We are also praying for a Coaches huddle to start this summer.

CR Kennedy At the beginning of the year there was no official huddle happening here but around Christmas time, an official huddle started meeting and the group slowly grew in size. We are hoping this leads to a softball huddle this summer and deeper growth with Athletes and new connections with Coaches.

CR Wash We saw both growth in size and growth in depth this year. The huddle went from 5-6 attendees to 25-30 in a multi-sport huddle. The leaders were instrumental in growing the depth of this group by being pointed in their weekly huddle with scripture and the Gospel. This has led to a baseball huddle this summer connecting all levels of the high school team. Our Huddle Coach also helped launch a huddle at McKinley Middle School which got to have its first ministry there in over 6 years.

Linn-Mar Deeper growth took place this year as we got to see many leaders give their time and talent to really connect with other athletes and answer their questions. More connections with athletes and coaches led to deeper ministry opportunities. Fields of Faith was hosted here successfully and other events led to many new people hearing about Jesus. Success here also led to a new huddle started at Excelsior Middle School. It was their first year of any type of ministry and over 20 athletes were involved. The other LM middle school is Oak Ridge. There was growth in all ways here. A huddle that averaged 15 athletes last year, 1 leader, grew to 30-35 athletes and 3 leaders. They even made a youth leadership group that consisted of 8 athletes meeting weekly to plan the lesson, games and events. We also began a Coaches Huddle with some high school coaches that meets weekly. I believe this will grow into something highly beneficial to impact LM for years to come.

Marion Please continue to pray for open doors and opportunities. We had some surface level opportunities but things did not work out for the time being.

Personal It has been great to help push the growth and seize opportunities and build relationship within all these schools, athletes, coaches and volunteers. The time discipling, training, in God's Word together, praying together, planning with the leaders and ultimately serving with them has been a blessing. Seeing God work this year through me and all the above has been amazing. It feels like we are only scratching the surface. As I continue to learn how to balance all the pieces of this ministry, I know we can reach more, grow more and while we continue to be faithful, God will give more opportunities and provide the resources needed.

Your partnership means the world, not just to me, but to the lost being served, and to the disciples making disciples.
